Recently I had the great pleasure of touring Molise, Italy with Beatrice Ughi (the lady having the most fun in the front!). She is one of the partners of Gustiamo, an importer and distributor of fine Italian foods in NYC. Her knowledge, passion and love for life is absolutely magical.



I've been to many places in Italy but never to Molise. This may have to be one of the place to visit on my next trip! What was your favorite food/recipe you tried?

There are three that come to mind.
Pampanella, pork that is marinated, then baked. Next to impossible to get the ingredients in the US, so enjoy while you are there.
Fusilli al Ferro, hand rolled pasta. Delicious
And Zeppole, a tasty dessert
The cheese, wine, olive oil are wonderful as well.
